Hello, you found me. Iā€™m glad you are here.

I am a Portland-based maker with a particular passion for clay. Actually, I am obsessed with clay. While I love making functional work, my greatest joy in clay is creating little creatures and oddities.

I began working with clay in 2019. I worked on an old Shimpo wheel and made an absolute mess of my dining room. Now I work from my home studio and still make an absolute mess there too.

My work is mostly fired in my electric kiln in my studio, but during the winter months my work is wood-fired in an anagama and catenary arch kilns. Wood-firing creates wild surfaces and colors that reflect the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

My full time job is a program director at a botanical garden. I get to spend a great deal of time outside, working with the community. I live in NE Portland with my husband, our daughter, two dogs, two goats, a small flock of chickens, and a loquacious cat.
